Similan Islands

One of the most beautiful and the cleanest places in Thailand is the Similan Islands, which are situated in the Andaman Sea, off the coast of Phuket. The islands are full of lively marine life, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and most famously, white sandy beaches, making them a haven for nature and adventure lovers. Eleven islands make up the archipelago, and each island is unique with its own landscape, like boulders made of granite, forests, and coral reefs, full of life with tropical fish. The Similan Islands rank among the most popular diving sites among divers and snorkelers around the world, with a lot of visibility and a wide variety of underwater life. As a conservation-friendly destination, the islands fall under the Similan Marine National Park and have stringent regulations on conservation. Day trips are common, but what is good about it is that it has natural beauty and activities that attract tourists to spend more time exploring this place.

Best time to visit
The best time to visit the Similan Islands is during the early morning or late afternoon when the sun is softer, and the crowds are fewer. Morning hours are ideal for snorkelling and diving, as the waters are calmer and clearer. Afternoons are great for relaxing on the beaches or hiking trails with pleasant breezes. Avoid midday hours for outdoor activities, as the tropical sun can be harsh.
