Best Time to Visit Vietnam

Vietnam’s diverse geography ensures pleasant travel options throughout the year, but timing your visit can enhance the experience.

Peak Season (November to April) brings comfortable weather ranging from 15°C to 25°C in the north and 25°C to 30°C in the south. It’s ideal for sightseeing, beach holidays, and outdoor exploration, especially around Hanoi, Halong Bay, and Ho Chi Minh City.

Off-season (May to October) experiences higher humidity and monsoon rains, with temperatures rising to 28°C–35°C. Though wetter, this is a great time for budget travelers; lush landscapes, fewer crowds, and discounted hotel rates make it appealing for adventure seekers.

Shoulder Season (April–May and October–November) offers moderate temperatures between 20°C and 30°C, giving travelers the best of both worlds: balanced weather, fewer tourists, and beautiful scenery across cities and countryside alike.

How to Reach Vietnam?

By Air: Reaching Vietnam from India is straightforward, primarily by air as the fastest and most popular option. Direct flights operate from major Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad, and Kochi to Vietnam's key airports; Noi Bai International (Hanoi) in the north and Tan Son Nhat International (Ho Chi Minh City) in the south. Airlines such as Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, IndiGo, and Air India offer these nonstop routes, with flight durations of 4-6 hours depending on the departure city.
