The best time to visit Dubai and Abu Dhabi is during the winter months, from November to March. The weather is pleasantly warm (around 15°C to 25°C), which is ideal for all outdoor activities like the Desert Safari and exploring the Miracle Garden and Global Village, as both are seasonal attractions and closed during the hot summer.
While Dubai is modern, modest dressing is respectful in public areas, especially for women.
- General: Wear comfortable, breathable clothes. Shoulders and knees should be covered when visiting malls and local areas.
- Mosque (Day 5): Strictly conservative. For women, this means a headscarf, long sleeves, and long trousers/skirt (an abaya is often provided or available for rent). For men, long trousers and a shirt covering the shoulders are required.
- Dhow Cruise/Fine Dining: Smart casual attire is appropriate.
- Public Displays of Affection: Holding hands is generally acceptable for couples, but excessive public displays of affection (kissing, hugging) are frowned upon and should be avoided.
The Abu Dhabi tour is a full-day tour; it is normally conducted through a comfortable and air-conditioned Shared (SIC - Seat-in-Coach) or Private vehicle. The commute between Dubai and the drive is about 1.5 to 2 hours. Any entry tickets to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque (free) and your preferred theme park have been pre-booked and are also included in the package.
Both the Dubai Miracle Garden and Global Village are seasonal attractions that typically operate between November and May. If they are closed during your travel period, these activities will be replaced with equally entertaining alternatives in the itinerary, such as a visit to the Dubai Frame and an exciting experience at the giant indoor theme park, IMG Worlds of Adventure.
Most Dubai packages include daily breakfast at the hotel. Dinner is typically included for the special activities: the Dhow Cruise and the Desert Safari (both feature buffet-style dining). All buffet dinners offer a wide range of international and local cuisines, and vegetarian, vegan, and specific dietary options (like Jain food) are readily available. It is always recommended to inform your travel agent about any specific dietary requirements at the time of booking.
